•Friday Night 45’s will run from Sept 3 to Oct 29 at Trinity United Church Hall, 439 MacLeod St., Mulgrave with play starting at 7 p.m.  Only 25 cents a game for grocery prizes.  No partner required.  50/50 draw and lunch provided each evening.  Everyone of all skill levels is welcome!  Come out for a genuine fun time with friends!

•Eastern Guysborough Pastoral Charge of the United Church. Rev. Heather will resume regular services on Sept. 12 in Canso at 9am, Guysborough 11am and Whitehead 1pm.

•Country Harbour Gun Club. Sept. 5 -10. Land and Sea Poker Rally. Registration 1-2 pm at the boat launch at Salsman Provincial Park. Cost per hand $10. Prizes awarded at free family BBQ. Walk/Bike/Boat. Have fun. Sept 21 - Registration for Darts at 7:30. Sept. 28 Darts start at 7:30.

•The Sky Family  from PEI, will be performing their high energy Celtic dance and gospel production of  Fiery Faith and Fiddles at the Harbourview Community Centre in New Harbour. Starts at 7pm, free will offering will be taken. Everyone welcome.

•Flea Market and Lunch at St. Paul’s church hall, West Ecum Secum from 8 to 1pm.

•Ocean Lake Riders ATV Club Poker Rally. Registration time 10am to noon. Return time 4:30pm. Starting at Harbourview Community Centre, New Harbour (Guysborough County). 1st -$100, 2nd -$75, 3rd - $50 , prizes for poker hands, door prizes. Food available - at start/finish. 50/50 tickets. Adhere to Off-Highway Vehicle regulations.

•Community Yard sale at Don England’s 5366 Sand Point. Start 10am. Bake Table for St. James’ Anglican Church, Melford. If storming will be held in Hadleyville Firehall.

•The Gospel Lights will be coming to the Canso United Baptist Church at 7 pm and Sept 12 at 11am.

•A benefit hot roast beef supper will be held at the Goshen Community Centre from 4 to 6 pm for Shelley Dory, daughter of Delbert and Elizabeth MacGrath, who will be travelling to Bulgaria to undergo the liberation treatment for MS.

•The Catholic Church in Guysborough and surrounding areas celebrates Sunday Eucharist as follows: St. Ann’s Parish, Guysborough at 9 am Sunday; St. Patrick’s Parish, Guysborough Intervale at 11 am Sunday, and  St. Thomas Parish, Salmon River at 5 pm on Saturday.
