There will be a Pot-Luck Supper at the Seal Harbour Church Hall, Seal Harbour United Baptist Church (19 Seal Harbour Road) from 4 to 6 p.m. Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children. A bake table will also be available. Everyone is welcome. Proceeds will be used for church purposes.

The second Holistic Autumn Market – with readers, healers and vendors – will take place at the Riverdale Community Centre (106 Vince McCarthy Drive) in Lower River Inhabitants from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $4 per person – or $2 with a donation to the food bank. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Riverdale Community Hall and the Port Hawkesbury Food Bank.

The Guysborough Historical Society invites the public to the Book Launch of their most recent publication, Turning the Pages of History, Down Guysboro Way, by John A. Morrison at the Old Court House Museum in Guysborough, 3 p.m. Compiled by members of the society over the past number of months, this work features 47 historic articles from the Canso Breeze and Guysborough County Advocate newspapers, written and researched in the 1940s by John Morrison.
