Town of Mulgrave to hold special election on June 3

April 19 2017

There will be a special election on Saturday, June 3 to fill two vacancies on Town Council. The first vacancy has been in existence since the regular election in October 2016 when only three candidates were nominated for four positions. The second vacancy occurred when Deputy Mayor Evangeline Breen gave notice that she would be resigning for personal reasons. The Deputy Mayor intends to serve until May 4, if permitted by the Municipal Government Act.

Nominations for the two positions will be open until May 9. Nomination papers may be picked up at Town Hall. Advance polls, if required, will be held on May 27 and May 30.
