GUYSBOROUGH – The Guysborough Journal newspaper is moving down the street. Local residents may have noticed work being done at the old bank building at 102 Main St., home to Rose’s Garden of Gifts, in recent weeks. Publisher Allan Murphy said the business wanted to give the historic building a facelift in making the move, painting the previously white building an historic red.
For the past 14 years The Journal has been located a little further up the hill, at 48 Main St.
“The move brings the newspaper to the heart of Main St. and we welcome the increased visibility,” said Murphy. “We also look forward to sharing the space with Rose’s flower and gifts shop.” The newspaper has taken over the upstairs space in the building.
Murphy adds that the new location is a better space for the newspaper company’s future business development.
